Facilities and IT coordinators who already know calls fail but cannot tell whether the weak stretch is the floor switch, the building riser, or the last mile.

What you leave with

A path sketch you can put on a wall: desk, access point, outgoing link, and the first hop that starts discarding voice.

Scope

One building or one remote cluster. We follow the route of a live call rather than drawing a theoretical diagram.

Included

  • Walk-through of desks and meeting rooms used for calls
  • Observation of the outgoing link during a working hour
  • A marked path sketch and a short note on the first failing hop

Not included

  • Full building recabling
  • Vendor selection for a new internet contract

How the work runs

  1. Map We list every place a call is placed in the building.
  2. Follow A live conversation is traced hop by hop while someone talks.
  3. Mark The first hop that sheds voice or video is named in the note.

Who runs it. A Packet Vertex Point assessor, usually the same person who would later run a packet loss assessment.

Time. One to two working days on site, plus a written note within three working days.

Where. On site in Kuala Lumpur and the wider Klang Valley. Remote path notes are possible when staff can share screen and router views.

Preparation and limits

Access to the comms cupboard if one exists, and permission to sit at two representative desks.

Landlords sometimes refuse cupboard access. We still review what we can see from the desk and the public side of the link.
